Assisted meeting ensures the fulfillment of the child's right to be in contact with both parents
Encounters with the practice of parental competences are a way in which a parent who does not have children in his or her care and / or has judicial contact with them only "with professional assistance" can see his or her children regularly. The format of meeting with the facilitation of our professionals in a neutral environment (in our workplace) allows the child to safely meet the mother or father, without the burden of conflicts of their parents.
Assisted meetings are most often recommended for families
- in which one of the parents is denied contact with the child for various reasons;
- the children have not been in contact with one of their parents for a long time after the family conflict;
- whose parent was found violent towards his partner (or child).
The aim is to restore the child's relationship with the parent and gradually expand their contact. On the part of the parents, the goal is a situation in which both mother and father are willing - regardless of the past, no matter how painful - to support and fulfill the right of a common child to love both parents.
Practical information
Place and forms of meeting
- Meetings can be realized in outpatient and field form, ie. it can take place at our workplace, or in agreement with both parents at another place.
Frequency and time possibilities of transmission
- We provide meetings on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 9:00 to 18:00 (excluding public holidays);
- The frequency in one family is usually once a week or once 14 days (maximum 1 ASS per week);
- One Meeting lasts a total of 90 minutes - 60 minutes is the time set aside for a direct meeting of the child with the parent, 15 minutes of consultation with each of the parents;
- Pro Dialog is not replaced by a Meeting that did not take place due to the closure of the workplace during a public holiday, unless otherwise agreed with a specific family.
Volunteering and cooperation of both parents
- The condition for drawing on the Meeting with us activity is to acquaint the client with the Conditions and rules of cooperation with the Pro Dialogue and their subsequent confirmation by signature.
- A native part of the Meeting is the drawing of counseling consultations, at which parents are offered support, advice or practice of parental competencies in order for the parent to develop a relationship with their child and the other parent in the future without our assistance.
- A native part of the Meeting is also cooperation in creating an individual plan for the benefit of the child and ongoing evaluation of its implementation. The purpose is to support in dialogue the ability of each parent to perceive the needs of their child and at the same time to fulfill their possibilities in the role of a parent.
- We most often provide the Handover activity to families who have the Meeting recommended by the OSPOD or ordered by a court. However, parents can also apply for the Meeting voluntarily and preventively.

The idea of professional assistance in contact between the child and the parent is based on the belief that every child has the right to be brought up by both parents, even in cases where the relationship (most often) between the parents is grossly disrupted.
The violation most often occurs due to:
- chronic conflicts between parents (often in connection with the separation or divorce of parents),
- as a result of domestic domestic violence, where the victim is one of the parents, but sometimes unfortunately also the child,
- criminal activity of one of the parents - it can enter the family situation directly (the parent is being investigated) or as a result, eg the return of the parent after serving a sentence, a restraining order, etc.
At the moment, the child is already listed as endangered in the agenda of the SPOD body (social and legal protection of children). In order to protect the rights of the child, contacts facilitated by parents are often ordered by a court decision or recommended by the OSPOD. The aim is to ensure the child's safety and at the same time to support (re) renewal and development of the child's contact with the parent, with whom this would not otherwise be possible. When we talk about a "child", we mean "every child" in the family affected by this situation, ie one or more.
Parents can also request assistance voluntarily and use it as a preventive activity until the situation in the family changes.
