Facilitated(Assisted)handover

With our professional support, the child passes between parents who cannot meet without conflict.

Developing the child's relationship with the parent

Facilitated (formerly Assisted) transmission, with the practice of parental competencies and communication skills, provides the child with a non-conflict environment when passing between parents who are in conflict. In the presence of our professionals, the parent who currently has custody of the child passes the child to the other parent.

Facilitated handovers are suitable for families in a situation

  • when the transfer of children without assistance is assessed as conflicting and burdensome for the child;
  • when there is a risk that the child will not be properly handed over / returned by one or the other parent;
  • when it is currently traumatic for one of the parents to see or even meet the other parent;

The goal is a situation where parents do not need professional assistance, they are able to hand over the child independently or in the presence of loved ones.

                           Practical information

Place and forms of transmission

  • The transfer can be realized in outpatient and field form, ie. the handover can take place at our workplace or, by prior agreement with both parents, at another place;

  • The handover ideally takes place in such a way that the parents meet during the handover and the child passes from one parent straight to the other. If, for example, in the initial phase of cooperation, this is not possible - parents cannot refrain from provoking conflict even in the presence of a child, or eg there is a risk that contact will cause a parent (traumatized victims of domestic violence) to compromise their ability to care about the child, the transfer takes place in such a way that the parent hands over the child to our specialist and leaves the Pro Dialogu workplace, then the worker hands over the child to the other parent.

Frequency and time possibilities of transmission

  • We provide the transfer 7 days a week between 9:00 and 18:00 (excluding public holidays);
  • The frequency for one family is usually once a week (ie there is a "there" and "back" handover in one week);
  • One Transfer takes 30-90 minutes (15-60 minutes of direct transfer of the child between the parents, 15 minutes of consultation with each parent);
  • Pro Dialogue is not replaced by a Handover that did not occur due to the closure of the workplace during a public holiday, unless otherwise agreed with a specific family in time.

Volunteering and cooperation of both parents

  • The condition for drawing on the Handover activity with us is to acquaint the client with the Terms and Conditions of Cooperation with the Pro Dialogue and their subsequent confirmation by signature.
  • The native part of Passing is drawing counseling consultations that support parents in expanding their responses in stressful situations and communication skills. The aim is to support the competence of parents so that over time they can handle the transfer of a child without assistance;
  • The native part of the Handover is also the cooperation in the creation of the Individual Plan for the benefit of the child and the continuous evaluation of its fulfillment. The purpose is to support in dialogue the ability of each parent to perceive the needs of their child and at the same time their possibilities in the role of a parent;
  • We provide handover to families who have been recommended by the OSPOD or ordered by a court, but also to families who are concerned with the handover preventively and voluntarily.

Preventive Handover with extra charge

Families who apply for Facilitated Surrender to us voluntarily - their children are not on the "social" agenda - pay extra for the activity.

Other activities that we offer to families

The activities are naturally intertwined, the family can draw on more activities at the same time.

Facilitated meeting

Meeting of a child with a parent (father or mother) in the presence of our professionals, at the Pro Dialogu workplace.

Parental dialogue

Mediation format in the family of an endangered child. It focuses on mediating communication between family members, most often mother and father.

Professional consultations

Counseling focused on the current situation and topics in the family where the child is at risk. Individual, couples or for the whole family.

Support groups

Sharing facilitated groups for adults and experience groups for children.

                       If you are interested in any of the above activities, write to us.

Are you considering "supervised" transmission?

You may be wondering if Handover would be a suitable support for you.

The idea of professional assistance in contact between the child and the parent is based on the belief that every child has the right to be brought up by both parents, even in cases where the relationship (most often) between the parents is grossly disrupted. The disruption most often occurs as a result.

  • chronic conflicts between parents (often in connection with the separation or divorce of parents),
  • as a result of domestic domestic violence, where the victim is one of the parents, but sometimes unfortunately also the child,

  • criminal activity of one of the parents - it can enter the family situation directly (the parent is being investigated) or as a result, eg the return of the parent after serving a sentence, a restraining order, etc.

At this point, the child is often listed as endangered on the agenda of the SPOD body (social and legal protection of children). In order to protect the rights of the child, "assistance" is subsequently often ordered to the parents by a court decision or recommended by the OSPOD. The aim is to ensure the child's safety and at the same time to support (re) renewal and development of the child's contact with the parent, with whom this would not otherwise be possible. When we talk about a "child", we mean "every child" in the family affected by this situation, ie one or more.

In our country, as part of the prevention or solution of the current situation, families can also apply for activities of their own free will, but then they pay extra.
