Parental dialogue
Possibility of mediation for parents who are learning to make agreements for the benefit of their common child
Restoration of dialogue between parents
A dialogue focused on the future and the needs of children does not address the partner's past.
Parental or Family Dialogue is the name for a mediation activity (a type of meeting) that mediates, with the assistance of facilitators and / or mediators, communication between family members about the needs of common children.
Family dialogue makes it possible to promote a relationship between any family members (eg grandparent-parent, foster parent-parent), again in the interests of the entrusted child.
Practical information
Place and forms of organization of Parental Dialogue
- Parental dialogues take place at our workplace.
- In our practice, two types of Parental Dialogue work well:
1) Parents act in one room, ie accompanied by a facilitator, formulate and develop their views in the presence of the other party / other parent.
2) Parents are in separate rooms. In cases where one parent is affected by the presence of the other parent in a retraumatizing manner and reduces his or her ability to feel, express or make decisions freely and without coercion, RD proceeds in such a way that the parents do not physically meet, professionals switch between parents / rooms their views and suggestions.
Time range and frequency
- The length of one mediation meeting is 120 minutes (90 minutes of the dialogue itself, 30 minutes of joint preparation of the Report).
- 9: 00-18: 00 on working days at our workplace;
- Recommended frequency and range: 1 x 14 days, a set of 10 Parental Dialogs is recommended.

Legal (non) binding nature of the agreements reached
- The principle of parental mediation is not based on the creation of legally binding documents, but on finding ways to restore mutual understanding and trust between parents. The mediation creates a Record, which each participant takes away immediately after the end, and serves as a reminder of the exact wording of the agreements that the parents concluded at the Parental Dialogue. The record is not legally binding, but participants can offer it in court as a form of joint out-of-court settlement or use it as a basis for their lawyer;
- The parents decide for themselves whether and to whom they will provide the Mediation Record. In the event that the family also draws on activities ordered by a court or OSPOD, we will only inform the relevant OSPOD employee that the parents are cooperating for the benefit of their common child.
Volunteering and cooperation of both parents
- The condition for the realization of the family house is that both parents agree with it;
- The condition for the implementation of the family house with us is to acquaint the client with the Conditions and rules of cooperation with the Pro Dialogue and their subsequent confirmation by signature.
- The native part of the family house is the completion of the introductory consultation to the family house (60 minutes), each of the participants completes it individually. The number of consultations (minimum 1) corresponds to the needs of each of the participants;
- Parents have the right to bring their current topics to the family home, ie other than the ones they were preparing for the Introductory Consultation;
- Parents contribute financially to the family house, the current price list is available here;
- Parents can also apply for the Parental Dialogue voluntarily, and then contribute financially to it.
Respect for privacy and security during the family house
- Participation in the Parental Dialogue from each parent assumes that
- will pursue the objectives of cooperation in the best interests of the common children;
- refrain from vulgarity, condemnation or insulting statements or gestures directed against each other and towards the professionals of the Dialogue;
- will not make an audio or video recording;
- will not be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
